Cultural Heritage and Community Education
In February 2026, Overseer Michelle Pitts-Luckett transformed the lobby of the church into a Living Black History Museum. Born out of her desire to celebrate our history, inspire future generations, and preserve Milwaukee’s legacy. The church’s halls feature Milwaukee leaders and nationally recognized Black historical figures, creating a meaningful educational experience for visitors of all ages.
The museum is more than an exhibit-it helps people feel seen, connected, and at home. One recent visitor shared that he had searched for a clean shirt to wear to church and eventually chose a T-shirt featuring civil rights leaders. When he arrived and saw the church’s halls filled with Black history, he knew he was in the right place. He and his fiancée both expressed how glad they were that they came.

Because of the community’s overwhelming response, the museum remains open year-round. Schools, families, churches, organizations, and individual visitors are warmly invited to come, learn, and experience this celebration of history—and admission is always free.
GROWING WITH OUR COMMUNITY – FUTURE MINISTRY
As God grows our church family and provides the volunteers, and resources needed to serve well, we look forward to formally developing additional ministries for men, women, children, youth, transportation, creative arts, benevolence, and grief care.
These ministries are part of our continuing vision to meet people where they are, remove barriers to participation, strengthen families, support healing, and build a loving community in which everyone has an opportunity to belong.
